DVI Solutions: Every Aspect, Every Angle

We take close looks at all sorts of products here on the MilesTek blog. But every once in a while, it’s good to take a step back and see how they all fit together.

Almost every single product we offer provides an A/V solution to one need or another for our customers. And for just about every category of A/V need — DVI, VGA, HDMI — we provide a full set of products that cover every aspect of that category.

For example, let’s examine the big picture about DVI:

DVI Cables

Nothing replaces a high-quality, long-lasting, reliable cable, and we’re proud to offer a comprehensive line of DVI cables, including digital dual DVI cables and digital single DVI cables.

DVI Extenders over CAT5E/CAT6
While the DVI cables we sell are the best in the industry, they are limited in how long they can run while maintaining premium quality. An excellent way to extend DVI signals exponentially (at just a fraction of the price) is to run the signals over CAT5E Ethernet cables or CAT6 Ethernet cables. Our line of DVI extenders can do exactly that, and includes DVI over single CAT5E/CAT6 active and passive balun sets and plate sets, as well as DVI equalizer jack-to-jack power inline devices.

DVI Switchers

DVI switchers simply multiply your options. We offer both 2×1 DVI switchers and 4×1 DVI switchers. One display can connect to either two or four sources. In other words, two or four computers can connect to any video display with a DVI port, including projectors, high-def TVs or monitors.

DVI Splitters

DVI splitters are basically the inverse of DVI switchers. Instead of connecting multiple sources to a single display, our DVI splitters do the opposite — say, one computer to two or four monitors. The splitters provide the perfect DVI solution to situations where you have several people watching the same thing (classroom settings, training seminars, etc.).

Ultimate VGA Extenders: More For Less

More distance. More flexibility. Less costs. Full, pristine HD-quality audio and video.

Our new ultimate VGA extenders embody everything that’s empowering about our various lines of CAT5E/CAT6 extenders and other AV solutions. These devices can give your classroom, office training, or conference display setup more flexibility and more savings, without sacrificing premium quality high-def VGA picture and sound. The extenders even include remote capabilities, adding still another bit of welcome flexibility, giving you the ability to conduct meetings, training seminars and sales presentations in ways that best suit your unique needs.

For example, these extenders give you the ability to, say, control a projector from up 1,000 feet away, without needing to rely upon more expensive, more rigid VGA cables.

The extenders can connect just about any VGA/WUXGA video display to sources like computers, switches and distribution amplifiers. A transmitter module provides a pass-thru video port, which is connected to a local monitor that supports stereo and digital audio, half-duplex RS-232 serial and bi directional IR pass-thru control signals.

And, as with all of our extenders that use CAT5E and CAT6 cables, the Ethernet cables are capable of maintaining top-quality signals for much further distances than standard VGA cables (1,000 feet, if you need it), while costing just a fraction of the price.

The ultimate VGA extenders are packed with features, including:

  • The ability to control a projector or an HDTV from up to 1,000 feet away
  • Support for WUXGA (1900×1200@60Hz) and UXGA (1600×1200@60Hz) resolution
  • Support for analog stereo, as well as digital SPDIF-grade audio
  • Support for RS-232 serial with bi-directional IR blaster
  • Adjustable EQ and gain control for optimal sound
  • Built-in mounting flange with locking power connectors
  • A transmitter, a receiver and IR emitters
  • Universal 100v-240v power adapters

HDMI IR DUAL CAT5E/CAT6 3D 1 X 8 SPLITTER AND (8) RECEIVERS SETAnother week. Another nifty device that increases your HDMI distribution options.

Our HDMI over CAT5E/CAT5 splitter/receiver sets allow you to connect a single HDMI source to multiple HDMI display devices over dual CAT5e/CAT6 Cables. In fact, we offer two different devices, in order to better meet our customers’ diverse needs:

1.HDMI over Dual CAT5 1×4 Splitter and Receivers (Splitter: 12.5”W x 1.125”H x 6.25”D. Receiver: 1.75”W x .875”H x 3.25”D) — One HDMI source. Four display devices. 3D-readiness. Yours for just $740.

2.HDMI over Dual CAT5 1×8 Splitter and Receivers (Splitter: 17.25”W x 2”H x 8”D. Receiver: 1.75”W x .875”H x 3.25”D) — One HDMI source. Eight display devices. 3D readiness. Yours for just $1,400.

You can also add transmitter or receiver IR cable for just $7.95 more.

In other words, one HD cable/satellite box and four TVs throughout a home.  Or one Blu-ray Disc player and eight TVs for a sports bar setting. You can imagine all the possibilities.

Perhaps the best feature is the use of dual CAT5e/CAT6 cables. As we often mention, these cables are simply a wonderful way to extend HDMI transmission capabilities at a low cost. Ethernet cables are far less expensive than HDMI cables, and they can maintain high-quality picture and sound at a significantly farther distance.

Here are the tech specs you need to know:

  • Allows one HDMI source to be connected to either 4 or 8 HDMI displays devices over dual CAT5e/CAT6 cables
  • Extend 1080p resolutions up to 100 feet over Cat5e Cables, and up to 110 feet over CAT6 cables
  • Feature high-speed chip sets that support 3D, as well as 4Kx2K
  • Fully HD1080P/60HZ, HDCP compliant
  • Can be paired with Super IR & RS232 control system
