This is a perfect and reliable solution for situations where your HDMI compatible HDTV needs to be located in maybe a separate room or floor from where the HDMI source device is securely located. Running HDMI over just two runs of commonly used CAT6 cable results in even more material cost savings, while still providing greater signal distance and installation flexibility. Maximum resolution/bandwidth of 165MHz at 1080P.

Solid gauge CAT5E cable may be used, but for optimal performance and distance CAT6 is suggested for this passive device.

Standard pre-made patch cords (stranded-gauge) can’t be used for this product. Must use solid-gauge CAT5E/CAT6 bulk cable throughout installation run, correctly terminated with RJ45 connectors.

Tech Note: HDMI/VGA over CAT5E/CAT6 or Coax devices in general are designed and tested to work directly from the original Source device (laptop, BlueRay DVD, cable/satellite box, etc.) to the Display/HDTV. They should NOT be used in conjunction with connector adapters, AV receivers/signal processors, converters, switches or splitters/amplifiers between the original Source and Display device. Results can be no picture after a few days or weeks because of Receiver end being burnt out/damaged.
